The goal was to tell the story of their mission and purpose statement of ‘Changing the way the world shops”. A key focus for this year was to elevate Ocado’s mission and vision to tell a story as the user scrolled through the online report.
After receiving the wireframes for the key pages, I was briefed by the conceptual creative and consultant. The brief consisted of an overview about the company, their why and the concept designs for the printed annual report. My role was to repurpose all the assets and content for the web and produce digital concepts of the web pages ready to be passed onto the developers. Working closely with an animator and developer, to make sure the design worked correctly and was technically viable.
A fully animated webpage ‘Now is our time’, was created to tell the story of Ocados mission and vision, using parallax and animation, supported by key facts and statistics. In 2019, Ocado Group won GOLD for Best Online Report at the Digital Impact Awards and SILVER for Best Online Report: FTSE 100 at the Corporate and Financial Awards.
