A British stone surfaces company website.

Artorius Faber

Artorius Faber is a family-owned British stone surfaces company based in Somerset. They specialise in high-end, bespoke stone flooring, paving and internal stone architecture.

The site underwent a complete transformation, highlighting the team's extensive expertise and their focus on building strong customer relationships. Product sections were thoroughly reorganized and redefined, navigation was simplified, and a new portfolio section was introduced. This feature allows users to save selected products into a downloadable "tear sheet." This fresh approach enabled the creation of tailored customer journeys for architects, landscapers, and homeowners.

My Role

At the beginning of the project, I worked closely with the senior designer to establish the core style of the website, so a look and feel could be created for the client. Alongside this, I wireframed the entire website, dividing the site into 3 key areas: Expertise, Portfolio and Stone. Each area of the site was prototyped in the wireframe stages to show the client how each section would work before adding any colours or imagery. We met with the client on multiple occasions to demo the various iterations before sign-off.

Leading the digital design on this project, I took the ‘look and feel’ concepts and worked through designing each templated page focussing on the UI and UX at all times. In the development stage, I worked closely with the lead developer to implement the scrolling and content load animations, using examples we collated at the beginning of the project.
